Cynoglossum furcatum Wall. in Roxb.

Cynoglossum furcatum Wall. in Roxb. is a plant of the genus Cynoglossum in the family Boraginaceae. It is an erect herb with a height of 40-60 cm and a height of 80 cm. Stems single or several in clusters, densely covered with yellowish-brown strigose hairs. The basal leaves and lower stem leaves are petiolate, oblong or oblong-lanceolate. The inflorescences are terminal and axillary, with branches separated in an obtuse-angled fork shape, without bracts, and the fruit period is extended and racemose. Nutlets are ovoid, 2-3 mm long, 1.5-2.5 mm in diameter, with protruding back surface and dense anchor-like spines. The edges are wingless or sparsely winged below the middle part. The flowering and fruiting period is from May to October.
Distributed in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Papua, New Guinea, Japan and China; in China, it is distributed from Southwest, South China, East China to Henan, Shaanxi and southern Gansu. Grows in forest meadows, sunny slopes and roadside at an altitude of 300-3040 meters
