Hemerocallis fulva (scientific name: Hemerocallis fulva) is a perennial herb. With short rhizomes and thick spindle-shaped fleshy roots. When eaten, it is often called “golden needle”. Its leaves are flat and long-lined, and are slightly poisonous to the underground stems, so they cannot be eaten directly.
