Pulsatilla

There are more than 30 varieties of Pulsatilla. The flowers are bell-shaped and come in three colors: white, purple and blue. The whole plant of Pulsatilla is covered with hair, which is very peculiar. It takes one and a half months from the blooming of the flowers to the ripening of the capsules. You can admire the flowers first and then the fruits. In summer and autumn, the leaves are green and dormant after severe frost. As a wild perennial plant, it can be planted for many years to enjoy.

It overcomes the disadvantages of high cost and easy degradation of varieties of annual herbaceous flowers. It can be planted in the forest in the garden. It can be planted in gaps and bushes, or planted naturally in flower borders. Because of its early flowering period and short plant size, it is an ideal ground cover plant variety. During the fruit period, feathery styles persist and are shaped like a head, which is extremely unique. It can also be used for Youlite flower beds or potted plant appreciation.

In addition, because Pulsatilla is very sensitive to acid rain, it will die quickly when acid rain falls. This characteristic of Pulsatilla not only makes it often used as an indicator plant to detect the degree of environmental pollution, but also increases its value as an ornamental flower.
