Cymbidium goeringii (Rchb. f.)

Chunlan (scientific name: Cymbidium goeringii (Rchb. f.) Rchb. f.): It is a ground plant of Orchidaceae. Also known as Duolan, Pudilan, Youlan, Duoduoxiang, and Grass Orchid, it is one of the species with the longest cultivation history and people’s favorite among Chinese orchids. The plants are generally smaller, and the pseudobulbs are smaller and ovoid. Leaves band-shaped, margin toothless or serrate. Most of the flowers are single or two, and do not stand on the shelf; the color of the flowers is mostly green, light brown yellow, and the flowers are fragrant.

The capsule is narrowly elliptic, and the flowering period is from January to March. Born on rocky hillsides, forest margins, and light-transmitting places in forests, at an altitude of 300-2200 meters, and can rise to 3000 meters in Taiwan, China. Born in China, Japan, the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula, etc. Chunlan in a broad sense also includes watercress orchid, lotus petal orchid, and spring sword. Most of their main production areas are in the southwestern provinces and regions, and the plants and flowers have their own characteristics.
