Phlox drummondii

Phlox (scientific name: Phlox drummondii), an annual herb, is not cold-resistant, likes warmth and avoids extreme heat. The flowering period is long, and the seeds reproduce. The soil should not be too thick when sowing, and it is better to be slightly transparent. The optimum temperature for germination is 15-20°C. Phlox has bright colors, dense flowers, long flowering period, and extensive management. Therefore, it is the main variety of basic flower beds, and the effect of potted plants is also very good. Plant height 15-30cm, mixed colors, growth period 4-6 months, flowering period 5-10 months, various colors, suitable for potted plants and flower beds.

Phlox grows best in sunny, cool climates where chlormequat is not needed to control plant shape. When the environmental conditions are not ideal, spraying chlormequat 1-2 times can prevent excessive growth. During the cultivation process, a good plant-to-row spacing must be maintained to prevent crowding from affecting the plant shape and causing pests and diseases. The plants are short and the branches and leaves are hairy, so watering and fertilization should avoid staining the leaves to prevent the branches and leaves from rotting. The entire growth and development period is 10-14 weeks, which is related to the size of the pot, light conditions and seedling time.
